Lost

But we are lost. We keep trying to find ourselves, but we are
lost. We are lost in our wandering thoughts, they are
clustered in our head and we are not even sure what’s right
from what’s wrong. What to follow and what not to. We
might be following what other people have set for
“acceptable” and “unacceptable” because we are too young
to be setting our own now, after all we are lost.
Pursuing our dreams and fulfilling our needs but reality hits
us like a piece of concrete smashed on our heads. And we are
lost. If only there were no rights and wrongs, acceptable and
unacceptable, legal and illegal, if only we, ourselves, could
set that, we wouldn’t be that lost. We would decide where to
leave our footprints. We would be freed from these ropes
and boundaries.

But we do not.

We are lost.
